Decentralized hydrogen production is also the theme of another green hydrogen innovator, the Michigan firm Sesame Solar. The company has partnered with the hydrogen-powered drone manufacturer Heven AeroTech to launch a mobile, solar-powered green hydrogen production and storage station.

A Michigan defense contractor has developed a mobile refueling system that generates hydrogen fuel from solar power and atmospheric moisture, enabling military drones to operate continuously for up to six months in remote areas without fuel resupply.

Sesame Solar’s new Surveillance and Drone Refueling Nanogrid produces hydrogen on-site using solar power and atmospheric water, enabling long-endurance drones like the Heven Z1 to operate continuously without a fuel supply chain.

The Green Fair featured Ann Arbor's new Solar Mobile Nanogrid Unit made by Sesame Solar. The Nanogrid has the ability to power events like the Green Fair with clean energy. With solar panels and hydrogen fuel cells, it's a decarbonization tool to power different events, facilities and community engagement education.
