Lauren Flanagan, co-founder and CEO of Sesame Solar, was named one of Business Insider's Climate Action 30, which highlights 30 global leaders working towards climate solutions. The list includes "activists, influencers, academics, scientists, business executives, entrepreneurs, and public-sector and nonprofit leaders working to address the climate crisis through collectivism, community, and accountability."

In their latest post on Instagram, Insider's @TechInsider showcased how Sesame Solar built a solution that could help achieve climate goals and increase adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters.

"We make the world's first mobile, solar plus green hydrogen-powered Nanogrids for disaster response. They are fast to deploy and easy to use. Our Mobile Nanogrids can be set up by one person in less than 15 minutes and begin generating essential services after disasters. We are used by some of the world's largest organizations -- Cox, Comcast Charter, Mediacom, the U.S. Air Force, and in the Caribbean.

Lauren also talked about how she started Sesame Solar to help accelerate climate action.

My motivation for starting Sesame was really something to do to address climate change. I know how to start companies, and I know how to plan technology to solve complex problems. We encourage you to go see what you can do to help the victims of Hurricane Ian, this is another tragic weather natural disaster. Find out more about us at Sesame.Solar.
